Inside a sinister discipline camp in South Africa. Unreported World is from South Africa investigating a so-called discipline camp promising to reform children that can’t be controlled by their parents. But reporter Sahar Zand discovers allegations of serious abuse. South Africa’s youth are in crisis. Drug use is surging, there’s violence in the classroom and parents are struggling to cope. An industry claiming to reform badly-behaved children has emerged with 25-year-old Prince Motlou at the forefront. He says his Rising Stars Generation discipline camp offers military style training that will send hundreds of children back to their parents with newfound respect. But it becomes clear that this is no ordinary boot camp, this is something far more sinister. As the children are searched for contraband, it is alleged that physical violence is used, despite corporal punishment being illegal in South Africa. We’re asked to stop filming as one teenager is taken behind some bushes for having condoms. He later says that camp supervisors punched and kicked him to the ground, and reveals multiple bruises across his back. Other children come forward with shocking allegations of sexual abuse and we learn that one of Prince’s previous camps is under investigation after two boys drowned. As a result of our investigation, his camp becomes the subject of another investigation over fresh allegations of abuse. Prince Motlou, who likes to be known as Emperor General, denies any wrongdoing and all allegations of physical and sexual abuse. #SouthAfrica #RisingStars #DisciplineCamp #PrinceMotlou #Documentary
