Gwen Stacy’s shocking death in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is one of cinema’s great shocks, silencing audiences to this day. By paying homage to that moment, Brand New Day builds instant fear among keen-eyed Spidey fans whilst simultaneously honoring a truly iconic scene.
