The BBC has released the list of its top-paid staff for the last year. Huw Edwards was the third highest-paid last year despite only being on air for three months following a scandal. Match of the Day host Gary Lineker once again topped the list, with Radio 2 breakfast host Zoe Ball behind him in number 2. Each celebrity is placed into a ‘band’ of pay and numbers mentioned reflect the top of that band. Not all of the BBC's highest-earners appear in the report, with stars employed through production companies or BBC Studios exempt in order to maintain a level playing field on the commercial market. Stars who are excluded include Michael McIntyre, Bradley Walsh, Alex Jones, Paddy McGuinness, Claudia Winkleman, Romesh Ranganathan, Alexander Armstrong, Richard Osman, Lord Sugar and Graham Norton. #bbc #garylineker #zoeball #huwedwards #gregjames #fionabruce #stephennolan #laurenlaverne #alanshearer #nickrobinson #nagamunchetty #mishalhusain #sophieraworth #laurakuenssberg #bbcnews
