## Caption

Sixty years ago, a landslide of coal waste swept through part of the village of Aberfan in south Wales. The disaster killed 144 people, including 116 children, when coal waste buried Pantglas Junior School and nearby homes on the last day of school before the half-term holiday. Jeff Edwards was eight years old when he survived the disaster. He recalls what happened inside the school and the lasting impact of losing so many of his friends. #BBCNews #Aberfan #Wales
