The TV licence fee to rise by £5.50 to £180 a year in a bid to 'keep the BBC on stable financial footing', the Goverment announced today. Viewers reacted with fury after the Department for Culture, Media and Sport revealed the rise from £174.50 would come into force from April 1. News of the price hike comes despite the BBC and the previous government striking a deal to keep the licence below £175 a year. #TV #License #television #Money #UK
