An Austrian Airlines flight from Tel Aviv to Vienna diverted to Sofia after a bomb threat, but a search found nothing suspicious and the plane later continued its journey, the airline and Bulgaria’s BTA news agency said. BTA reported that the crew received the threat as the plane approached the Romanian border, prompting Bulgaria’s Air Force to scramble MiG-29 fighter jets. Israeli newspaper Haaretz said the threat was ‘called in by an Austrian national who was not on board,’ without identifying its source. The plane was carrying 51 passengers and 6 crew, Austrian airline said. #austria #vienna #telaviv #bulgaria
