Dolly Parton's iconic hit 'Jolene' turns 53 years old today, having been released on October 15, 1973. The song was inspired by a bank teller who had a crush on her late husband, Carl Dean, with Parton later describing it as loosely based on real events. The track went on to become one of country music's most enduring classics, earning a place in the Grammy Hall of Fame and inspiring covers by artists including Beyoncé. Parton, who died earlier this year on August 25, leaves behind a legendary musical legacy, with 'Jolene' remaining one of her most recognizable songs. #dollyparton #jolene #music #viral #celebrity
