## Caption

A striking photograph captured Chinese President Xi Jinping emerging from the shadows alongside President Donald Trump, first lady Melania Trump and Chinese first lady Peng Liyuan during their visit to the National Archives. The visit marked the final stop of Xi's three-day trip to Washington, which included a White House tea and a tour of America's founding documents. Despite the elaborate ceremonies and warm public gestures, the summit ended with few major breakthroughs publicly announced on key points of tension, including trade, artificial intelligence and Taiwan. 📸 AP Photo/Julia Demaree Nikhinson #trump #xijinping #china #usa #news
