Team Vitality, a French esports team, have had their headquarters vandalized amidst demonstrations that took place at the weekend across France. Posts on social media showed smashed windows and PCs stripped out of Vitality’s V.Hive headquarters, located in Paris. Videos also showed what appeared to be the team’s StarLadder StarSeries 2026 trophy being stolen from the building, which the Counter-Strike 2 team had won just last month. The club responded to the events on X, saying, ‘Today, the premises of our club were looted on the sidelines of the mobilization on October 17. Fortunately, none of our staff members nor any fans were injured. On the other hand, our display windows were destroyed, and our trophies and computer equipment were stolen.’ CEO and co-founder, Fabien "Neo" Devide, took to X following the incident, which happened as Team Vitality’s Valorant team made it to the VCT Champions grand final in Shanghai: ‘I just lived a waking dream with our performance in Shanghai, and today, thousands of kilometers away, I see a part of me go up in smoke," he said. ‘The right to demonstrate is a fundamental freedom that I will defend all my life. Thank you to those who mobilize for their convictions. But looting and destruction should never have a place in these fights.’ #counterstrike #france #gaming #esports
