Nintendo revealed the first gameplay footage for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake during the series' 40th Anniversary Direct. Series producer Eiji Aonuma played the game live, showing Link exploring Kokiri Forest, fighting a Deku Baba, and visiting the Deku Tree, complete with Navi's classic "LISTEN!" callout. New additions include a dedicated jump button, the ability to swim underwater, motion controls for the slingshot, and fully voice-acted cutscenes throughout. Nintendo is calling this version "faithful" to the original rather than a full reimagining, though the upgraded visuals and reworked camera system give it a noticeably different feel. The remake launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, alongside a limited-edition console, Pro Controller, and new Young Link and Young Zelda amiibo. It's a big moment for the 28-year-old game, especially with longtime fans debating whether this take strikes the right balance between nostalgia and modern updates. #nintendo #zelda #gaming #gameplay #legendofzelda #ocarinaoftime
