Kane Parsons is set to direct a sequel to his debut feature film Backrooms following its box office success. The report comes via Dread Central, who say that an “official announcement is imminent.” The report says that Backrooms 2 will be Parsons’ next movie, ahead of the project that he’s developing with Backrooms producer and Longlegs director Osgood Perkins. Perkins helped Parsons develop the screenplay, and reportedly acted as a mentor to him through his first feature. Parsons became the youngest director, at age 20, to have a film debut at number one at both the domestic and global box offices, with Backrooms grossing over $394 million worldwide. #backrooms #gaming #movie #horror
