## Caption

Victor Willis, the founding lead singer of the Village People and the voice behind the disco classic YMCA, has died at the age of 75 following what his family described as a 'short but aggressive illness.' His death was announced in statements from both his family and the band, who paid tribute to the music icon while asking for privacy during this difficult time. Willis helped define one of the most recognizable acts of the disco era, with YMCA becoming a global anthem that has endured for decades. #victorwillis #villagepeople #celebrity #music
