California Governor Gavin Newsom has accused President Donald Trump of using the Justice Department to target him and his family for political reasons. In a video posted to social media, Newsom claimed federal investigators had contacted people in his inner circle and argued the scrutiny was linked to speculation about a potential 2028 presidential run. The Democrat, a frequent Trump critic, said he had become the latest name on the administration’s 'hit list,' while the White House and Justice Department have not publicly responded to the allegations. #news #usa #trump #newsom
