Blizzard’s rebranded ‘Overwatch’ (previously Overwatch 2) has been a hit with players in the run up to the launch of its new season. Despite Overwatch Season 1 launching on February 10, 2026, the game has already hit its highest ever concurrent player count on Steam, overtaking that of Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty. Overwatch will be effectively ‘relaunching,’ beginning with the year-long event Reign of Talon, adding in new Heroes and other content.
