Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has launched with the lowest Metacritic user score in the entire franchise, currently sitting with an “Overwhelming Dislike” rating on PC. Black Ops 7, which launched on November 14, 2025, is currently sitting with a 1.9 user score on PC at the time of writing. Negative reviews comment on the game’s campaign, with a focus on story and lack of an option to pause. Other point to bugs in Multiplayer, AI-generated Calling Cards, and issues with Skill Based Matchmaking. “I enjoy the pvp gameplay but I haven’t been able to play 3 games without the game freezing mid match and requiring me to reboot the game,” said one user review. “I would have thought that after rereleasing the same game for years Activision would be able to get the game out without these types of bugs.” Some users had nicer things to say, however. Comments praised the continuation of the Black Ops 2 story, and pointed to Multiplayer and Zombies being appropriately fast-paced and enjoyable. “I think that the campaign is the only thing bringing this down but not including that endgame a really fun mode[sic],” began one user review. “Multiplayer a real return to form, Zombies a fun game mode that actually has good atmosphere. I think that this game is a MW3 situation where it will be beloved by the community and will be called the best cod game of the modern era.” Critic reviews are also more positive. Currently 18 reviews have been aggregated for PC, placing Black Ops 7’s Metascore at a “Generally Favorable” 87. For now, there aren’t enough Critic reviews on console platforms to form a Metacritic score. But, for past entries in the franchise, the scores have typically been pretty similar across the board. #blackops #callofdutyclips #blackops7 #gaming #activision
