Mixtape, the coming-of-age narrative adventure, has been delayed to 2026. Revealing the news on their social media channels, developer Beethoven & Dinosaur said that the studio was making some finishing touches on the game. “While developing Artful Escape, our 3D artist Mikey, made an oven asset. It was a nice oven - the work of a true pro. He even put the knobs on,” the post said. “And that’s who we are at Beethoven & Dinosaur. We put the knobs on. Mixtape is almost complete, we’re just putting the knobs on. See you in 2026.” The studio has yet to provide a more specific release date, offering only the 2026 release window for now. First announced back in 2024, Mixtape, published by Annapurna Interactive, is a narrative adventure that takes place in the 1990s. The game follows teenager Stacy Rockford and her friends on their last night as high schoolers, as they go on one final adventure. The game takes visual and tonal influence from coming-of-age movies, and keeps music at its heart featuring songs from The Smashing Pumpkins, DEVO, Iggy Pop, Joy Division, the Cure and more.
