Halo Studios has announced that Operation: Infinite will be Halo Infinite’s last major content update, dropping on November 18. The game launched back in 2021, as part of a ten-year plan of “Master Chief’s saga to come.” However, with just four years under its belt, it seems Halo: Infinite is looking rather finite afterall. In a recent statement, the studio revealed that the decision stems from the multiple Halo titles currently in development: “We’ll need our whole team's combined focus to deliver new experiences with the same passion and care that our community has given us. While we remain committed to supporting Halo Infinite on the road ahead, Operation: Infinite is the last major content update currently planned.” As part of the game’s winding down, Operation: Infinite will introduce 2X boosts on Career Rank and SP, a 100-tier Operation Pass, eight earnable armor sets, new Ranked Seasons, and 200 new customizations in The Exchange. “As we look back on four years of evolution and updates in Halo Infinite, we’d like to thank our community for your steadfast support,” the statement said. “Without your feedback and enthusiasm, Halo Infinite multiplayer would not be the special place it is today: a robust arena for slaying and playing, with something for every Spartan.” Halo Studios recently announced Halo: Campaign Evolved, an upcoming remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, originally released in 2001. The game will be released in 2026 for Windows, Xbox Series X|S and, for the first time in the franchises’ history, PlayStation 5. #Halo #haloinfinite #gamingnews #xbox #multiplayer
