Arc Raiders is returning gear that players have lost to cheaters, even if they weren’t the ones that reported them. Developer Embark Studios has said that they are "committed to skill and fun, not unfair advantages," returning items to players’ inventories if they’ve been lost to cheaters. As an extraction shooter, a key part of Arc Raiders’ gameplay is finding items on the surface of a deadly robot-infested Earth. Outside of their safe underground base, players will encounter hostile robots and other players. Once a player is killed, all of the items and materials they’ve collected will be lost. When part of the natural law of the game, that’s all well and good, but to lose it to someone with unfair advantages is more than a bit annoying. Thankfully, Embark Studios recognises that. Now, when a cheater is caught, gear lost to them will now be returned back to players, ready for them to collect before they head back out to the surface. The process is also automatic, and operates regardless of who reports the caught cheater. New in-game messages will now appear to affected players, saying, “Your items were lost due to unfair play, but we managed to get them back for you!” Arc Raiders launched on October 30, 2025, reaching 250,000 concurrent players on day one. #arcraiders #gaming #multiplayer #gamingnews #onlinegames
