Hollow Knight: Silksong has already topped 4.2 million sales across platforms, according to new reports.  Estimates suggest 3.2 million came from Steam, with another half a million each on PlayStation and Switch, not counting Xbox sales.  On Game Pass, the game has seen an additional 1.5 million downloads.  Silksong also charted second in Steam’s weekly sales, moving 530,000 copies, while the original Hollow Knight surged back into the top five with 205,000 sales.  Despite the success, some developers have criticized Team Cherry for dropping the game with only two weeks’ notice, claiming it hurt competing titles.
