Half-Life 2 just received a surprise update that fixes an issue players have been dealing with for nearly two decades.  Among a few small tweaks, the patch restores the original speed of the train near the end of the Highway 17 mission.  This change brings back a moment where players can now outrun an oncoming train—something that was possible at launch. In 2007, a change to the game’s driving physics unintentionally made this near-miss moment almost impossible.
