What's it like to be #bilingual and/or #bicultural while living in the United States? More than 150 students from a range of countries and language backgrounds showed up to Gaige 200 to participate in a guided conversation led by Dr. Eliani Basile, chair of the #modernlanguages Department! "I Am a Child of Contemporary Immigrants," as the event was called, offered students a chance to share their personal stories and discuss their perceptions of life in the U.S. "One of my main goals is to promote connections across our campus to create a community of students with linguistically and culturally diverse backgrounds," said Dr. Basile.
