And it is, indeed, a whole generation of the Duarte family: her father's goal was to have all four of his children graduate college. All four of them chose RIC. "My brother graduated from RIC with a degree in justice studies last summer and is now about to graduate from the police academy," she says. "My second brother is still going to RIC for computer science, and my youngest sister is in her first year of the nursing program at RIC. Every accomplishment we have, my father feels like it’s his own. My mom is still learning how things work in the United States, but she’s very proud of me and makes sure she tells me that every single day.” ❀️ βš“οΈ πŸ”— Link in bio to read her story! . . . #RICNews #experienceRIC #RICGrad2023 #RICAlumni #rhodeislandcollege #BeBOLD #commencement #commencement2023 #graduation #firstgeneration #firstgen #capeverdean ## Stats - **Views:** 0 - **Likes:** 71 - **Shares:** 0 - **Comments:** 0 ## Tags bebold, experienceric, commencement2023, ricgrad2023, ricalumni, firstgen, ricnews, firstgeneration, rhodeislandcollege, commencement, graduation, capeverdean --- Copyright (c) Gondola
