RIC alumni are leading every day all around the state! State Rep. Karen Alzate '13 (D-Dist. 60, Pawtucket) is the new chairwoman of the Rhode Island Legislative Black and Latino Caucus. This year's General Assembly is the most diverse in the state's history, and she's eager to make the group's voices heard. "There is definitely power in numbers," she tells the bostonglobe. "The future is here. The future is now." Link in bio for full interview.
