Central Falls may be the smallest city in the smallest state, but it's got a huge Hispanic population, with approximately 65% of residents identifying as Hispanic or Latinx. It has become Rhode Island's "Comeback City" under the leadership of Mayor James Diossa (far right), a proud Latinx of Colombian heritage, and City Council President Maria Rivera (second from left), of Puerto Rican heritage. The RIC Workforce Hub serves this community with job training, ESL classes, and much more. We are proud to invest in the people of Central Falls and to continue to provide vital educational opportunities for the Hispanic community throughout the Blackstone Valley. We couldn’t think of a better place to recognize and highlight the tenacity, desire to succeed and hard work of the Hispanic community. #HispanicHeritageMonth
