The ranks of #RICalumni include Oscar winners, political leaders and every day #heroes like Jerry Rubino ‘91, M.Ed. ‘95. Jerry is a #health and #physicaleducation teacher at Whelan Elementary School in #NorthProvidence, where he and school nurse Lucy Polisena performed lifesaving #CPR on a custodian who was found unconscious. “It was teamwork and remaining calm and focused, and just following what you’ve been trained to do,” he told abc6wlne news. He and Nurse Polisena are now known as #superheroes at Whelan. Great work, Jerry!
