#OpEd from collegecrusade President/CEO andrewbramson in the provjournal today: “Within 24 hours after the college admissions scandal broke, the College Crusade family experienced a profoundly ironic scenario. College Crusade participant and second-year Rhode Island College Student Jennifer Navia waited for six hours at the State House to deliver her powerful testimony in support of additional funding for students like her via an expansion of the Rhode Island Promise program... As Navia said in her testimony, ‘My parents were immigrants who did not have the means to get a college education and instead opted to ruin their hands, their eyesight, their own welfare working in factories so they could have the chance of putting us through college.’” #humansofRIC
