#RICalumni are out to sea with uri.gso! 🚢🌊Beth Brocato of #exeterwestgreenwich middle school & Pat Lapierre of #burrillville middle school, both #science teachers 👩🏻‍🔬 & Feinstein School of Education grads👩‍🎓, got a 3-day lesson in #oceanography 🐚🦑🐬🐡through the RI Teachers at Sea program. • “Every summer I like to do something related to my curriculum that I can learn from and can use to explain things to my students about what real scientists do,” said Beth. • “It’s providing me with things to make my teaching entertaining to my students. It’s given me a bag of tricks of examples - pictures, data, scientists - to keep my students engaged.” • 👏👏 to universityofri for such a great program.
