Dramatic video captured the moment a suspected drunk driver entered the course of a Florida IRONMAN race, triggering a chaotic police pursuit as officers warned he was “going to kill someone.” Authorities say 62-year-old Darrell Simon drove his white Ford Focus through portions of the inaugural IRONMAN Jacksonville event on May 16 while thousands of athletes were competing throughout Jacksonville, Florida. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, spectators reported that Simon had driven past barricades and entered the restricted bike and running routes, traveling through coned-off sections of the course and allegedly endangering both participants and onlookers. #ironman #crime #jacksonville #drunkdriver
