I’m still on a high from last week’s Media Genius Retreat where 14 incredible entrepreneurs gathered in an Upper East Side apartment (and ignored the yellow smog apocalypse outside!)

They bravely worked out their news stories, supported each another in creative brainstorming, discovered how to capitalise on their media wins, identified ways to build their media network and made a new business friends.

I co-hosted the event with Strategy Expert frenchie.ferenczi who gave a presentation on Publicity to Profit and how you can capitalise on your media wins.

Copywriter laurabelgray shared how to become business famous and had everyone laughing the minute she walked on stage! 

Storytelling Expert chantellespeaks held powerful hotseats, retelling people stories in a way that hadn’t heard before. In one session a participant said “you’ve just told me the first chapter of my book. I’ve been struggling with that for 2 years.”

Media Consultant Adela__hussain revealed how she dealt with the people who put her down and strategies she applied to build her media network from scratch and achieve 14 prestigious media features in 12 months without a publicist.

We had 4 world-class journalists josie.cox margiconklinnyc iamsuzywalker claireatki who have written for the BBC, New York Post, Insider, Free Press, Psychologies and Telegraph sharing their expertise on the do’s and don’ts of pitching to press and how you as a thought leader can leverage current opportunities.

There were hot seats, tears, laughter powered by good food and good energy. 

The feedback from everyone has been truly phenomenal but when talented photographer layramarz said “it was the best event she every went to!” I slowly began to process the impact Frenchie, Jamie-Lynn and I had made. Layra has worked with so many industry greats!

Thank you to everyone who came and supported. I know there will be A LOT of media magic coming out of this retreat!
