#WhyWednesday: Curtis Gongora shared with us why he joined The Beta Iota Chapter of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc. ⬇️
• Organization: La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc.
• Joined: Spring 2021
• Leadership Position(s) within Organization: President, Director of Marketing, New Member Educator, Scholastic Chair
• “I joined my fraternity because I instantly found a genuine home away from home with the undergraduate Hermanos of my chapter. I found a place where I was supported in all areas of life and where I could go for advice and more. As an interest I saw the potential inside of myself that could be unleashed if I continued to surround myself with the Hermanos of the Beta Iota chapter, as well as other local chapters. I researched the pillars and philanthropies that la fraternidad endorsed, and I really resonated with the concepts of academics, brotherhood, culture and service. When I looked at La Unidad Latina from the outside I felt the brotherhood, I saw strength, I saw leaders, and I saw a family. ”
