Is fatherhood what I thought it would be ? Part 2!

Fatherhood began SUPER rough me. As a person with low tolerance and low patience, to adjust my life, my mindset, my attitude to cater to another person whom I instantly loved, but didn’t want ANYTHING to do with me was HARD. I always envisioned having this instant connection with my baby boy, and in his first few months, I couldn’t quite bond just due to him being so dependent on his mother. As a new father with no one to really walk me through this part, I often felt depressed, sad and useless. My wife couldn’t even leave the HOUSE without the baby screaming endlessly and driving me NUTS. So dads! Understand, initially, you may not have the connection you dreamed of instantly, but it will come as your child becomes less dependent, and it’s okay to feel lost, hurt and confused.
