Sometimes, you just have to send it. 
We were asked to fly a stunt sequence on FastX last summer with the ever fabulous freeflysystems Alta 8 and get as close to the fire as we could. 
I think we got pretty close🤘
True fire testing of the thehelicoptergirls Alta 8 
We had 3 teams with 3 Alta 8s covering this shot from various angles with thefilmdronepilot baaz.cole mikefoyledrone flying and philarntz wrmroth and john.r.marzano operating. 
Testament to the toughness of the kit we use day in. Day out like the arri_rental Alexa Mini LF, ignitedigiaustralia products all over our MōVI Pros, our Cobham Nano and  cmotionlcs C Motion lens control which really suffered the most damage with a melted cable and a motor button cover destroyed. Our The extremely tough Alta only suffered a little heat damage on this flight with the props on the left side beginning to Delaminate in the heat (but they re hardened the moment they were back in the cool air) and some charred external cables. 

Needless to say, she needed a good clean, inspection and service when she got back to base and didn’t fly again that day. Not to mention the tough little insta360 which passed through the fiery inferno without a scratch. 
I can honestly say I can’t think of another aircraft I would put in that position. Alta 8 just soaks up whatever you can throw at it, turns back to you and says “is that all you got?!” 
Go thehelicoptergirls for putting up 3 teams on this awesome sequence and thank you for letting me play with our Alta in such a way that it might not come back. 🤘🤙🏼
