@Ali Al-Hamadi / علي الحمادي was born in Iraq and grew up in the UK, shaped by a family history of displacement. Football became part of his life from a young age, offering structure and direction. Now representing Iraq at the 2026 World Cup, his journey reflects a return to identity and connection with his roots. Ali is part of UNHCR’s Gamechanging Team, standing alongside other players whose lives were shaped by displacement. #WorldFootballDay
