FRENCH ONION GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE
2 lbs fresh green beans (about 8 cups)
1 can (10.5 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 can (10.5 ounces) Campbell’s® French Onion Soup
1/2 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
1 clove garlic, grated
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
6 ounces gruyere cheese, grated
2 cups french fried onions
Fresh ground black pepper

1. Heat the oven to 350ºF. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
2. Rinse green beans and trim off the ends. Add beans to boiling water and cook until bright green and tender, about 6 minutes.
3. Drain beans in a colander, rinse with cold water, and lay on a rimmed baking sheet lined with a clean kitchen towel to dry.
4.In a large bowl, stir both soups, milk, vinegar, garlic, thyme, gruyere cheese, and 1 cup fried onions until combined. Fold in the green beans and season the mixture with pepper.
5. Pour the green bean mixture into a 9x13 oven safe dish and spread into an even layer. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes, until hot and bubbling.
6. Stir the bean mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup fried onions. Bake for another 15 minutes, until the onions are browned. Let green beans rest at least 10 minutes before serving to help the flavors meld and the casserole settle.
7. Store leftovers in an oven safe dish for easy reheating.
