We are often asked if shiplap can be used in a traditional home, the answer is generally yes but there is a specific way to execute it properly.

We love trim work and think every home needs it. 
The options are endless. 
If you choose to do shiplap in a traditional home, we suggest keeping it refined and smooth, also keeping the boards tight together with the spacing of a dime.
No knots in the wood, just clean and classic for an elevated look while keeping the feel classic and casual. 
And yes, traditional living can be relaxed and casual, it’s kind of like putting jeans on her after wearing suits and heels for years. 
Making a home more livable and cozy is my favorite thing to do!
