## Caption

Today is #StudentPressFreedom Day, a nationwide campaign recognizing news coverage from student journalists and highlighting the challenges they face while reporting on crucial issues.

The IDS, a student-run newspaper, is not immune to these challenges. Lack of funding, navigating the COVID-19 pandemic and balancing full class loads are several obstacles the IDS faces.

Here’s what you can do to support us:

• Keep reading the IDS
• Place ads in our weekly print paper and online
• Donate if you’re able to

Student journalism is real journalism. #StudentPressFreedom Day is a day to celebrate it and ensure we can keep our community safe and informed for years to come.
