the best way to eat your vegetables.  make these SPICY HONEY ROASTED BRUSSEL SPROUTS & CARROTS ~ day #5 of the Thanksgiving recipe countdown

this just might be my new favorite way to make veggies 🤤 this is such an easy side to make for your family dinners & feel free to swap veggies or double up this recipe !

HOW TO MAKE ↴⁣
- 1 package of brussel sprouts, trimmed ends & halved
- 1 lb large carrots, peeled & chopped into thick pieces
- 3 scallions, thinly sliced (optional)
- lemon zest (optional)
toss brussel sprouts & carrots in a bowl w glaze until coated evenly. spread onto lined & greased baking sheet. bake at 425F for 20-25 mins. let cool for a couple mins then top with scallions & lemon zest sprinkled on top (if using) & enjoy as a perfect Thanksgiving side :)

glaze:
- 3 tbs each: olive oil & honey
- 1 tbs hot water
- 1/2 tsp each: salt, pepper, red pepper flakes (+ more depending on how spicy you like;)
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder 
- 2 tbs warm water
add all ingredients to a mason jar or bottle. screw on lid & shake vigorously until combined. (you can also whisk in a bowl but i thought this combined it easiest)
