## Caption

We were honored to recently welcome back our former patient, actor Dexter Darden, to our campus! Dexter, joined by some family and friends, paid tribute to his hematologist, the late Dr. Kwaku Ohene-Frempong or KOF as he was widely known, by visiting his portrait in our Clinical Hub for Collaboration building. 

KOF, who was instrumental in Dexter’s care, was an international leader in the treatment of sickle cell disease and established many of the current practice standards. During the visit, Dexter also had the opportunity to reconnect with members of our sickle cell program and meet with local sickle cell advocates. #SickleCellAwarenessMonth
