"When we started this page, 'Red Hawks Of Montclair State' was a project that simply aimed to showcase the uniqueness of each member of the Red Hawk family. We just wanted to create a common ground for Montclair State's people, the Red Hawks, to feel a greater sense of community. With our posts, we wanted everyone to feel more welcome and truly at home. Above all, we wanted to give people a glance into the life of the Red Hawks.
We thought we knew what this project would become and what it would accomplish, but we were wrong; we have received so much more! From journeys of resilience to stories of incredible accomplishments. From life philosophies to corny jokes. From moments of tremendous success to moments of heavy loss. Every single day, our posts shattered our own expectations. The way that we defined a Red Hawk and the Red Hawk Experience kept evolving. We now know that there is no 'definition.' The truth of the matter is that we are all so unique and special that no definition could encompass us all. Yet, the bond that makes us all Red Hawks, the bond that we all have in common, the bond that makes us all family is Montclair State. It's now clear to us that as members of the Red Hawk Community, we are never alone. 'Red Hawks of a feather, flock together,' right? More than anything, the gigantic amount of love and support we all have and give to each other is clear, and this page is proof of that.
Montclair State allowed for this all to happen! It gave us a place to network, to grow, and to thrive. And so, if we learned nothing else from this project, it's this. Montclair State is and will always be our home."
***To all of our Followers, Red Hawks (past, present, and future), and fans:
Thank you for an amazing year, and for all of your support. You give us the strength to keep going. We love you all! This is our last post of the academic year. But, you can catch a couple of us at Commencement, how about that?***
