thepraelium 2024 was a success. The goal was simple - Get a mod-heavy day on stage in before we leave for the American Open Series 2 and re-qualify for this year’s states. We accomplished both goals of re-qualification and moving well, and a little more than was in our plan because we were moving well.

Snatches are a work-in-progress still. We’ve been changing some things on technique so those haven’t been the most consistent. But what I was STOKED with was how clean and jerks felt! They were FLYING UP like a kite flies in the sky! Lol! Something we learned was daily Tall-Cleans are a game changer for me. My elbows are turning over better now than they have in a while.

We ended the day going 2-for-3 on snatch and 3-for-3 on clean & jerks for a 5-for-6 day. We also took home some hardware, placing 2nd in the women’s 59kg weight class next to the champ, sarahlizardbeth , who I will gladly share a platform, stage, and podium with any time! Always a blast lifting with our friends from riseweightlifting_wg !

Shoutout as always to my coach, mentor, and the greatest leader, coach_rebeca on guiding me through another successful meet!

Thank you to my theweightliftingmethod teammates, our the.fitnessmethod athletes & community, along with my friends & family who cheered me on & supported me this past weekend.

Thank you as well to camargo_oly and the team from Team olyconcepts on running yet another fantastic event! Can’t wait for year 10 next year!!

Next up, we VACATION in the LONESTAR STATE! T-3 weeks until the American Open Series and a few days away with Coach Rebeca! So excited for this trip! YEE HAW!
