What an honor it was to speak at U.S. Renal Care’s Clinical Leadership Conference—especially today, on Nurses' Appreciation Day.

This room was filled with nurses and clinical specialists who show up every single day with heart, skill, and unshakable commitment to their clinics and patients.

These are the professionals who don’t just do the work—they carry it. They bring grit when systems are strained, grace when emotions are high, and clarity when the path forward is anything but simple.

Today, we celebrate nurses everywhere—but this group reminded me why that appreciation should be every day. Their pursuit of excellence isn’t just professional, it’s deeply human. They empower patients, uplift their teams, and lead with purpose and integrity through every challenge.

To be invited into that room, to contribute to a conversation about leading with excellence through adversity—it was humbling and energizing.
