## Caption

Little Island is a spellbinding and utterly New York City-esque 2.4-acre site that cost $260 million to build and is likely to require millions more a year to maintain. The expense fortunately is borne by media mogul Barry Diller (the largest donation ever for a public park). When you stand in the middle of Little Island, the new parklet levitating off the Chelsea shoreline seems bigger and farther away than it is--truly a handkerchief of paradise!
