Opened in 1676, it was the axis of the second enlargement of the city. Amedeo di Castellamonte's project was particularly scenographic: 704 meters long, 18.50 meters wide, it is flanked by buildings of uniform architecture, with arcades 5.10 meters wide and 6.70 meters high.
