🚨 BREAKING: MARYLAND FIRES HEAD COACH MIKE LOCKSLEY! 🐢🏈

The University of Maryland has reportedly parted ways with head football coach Mike Locksley after eight seasons leading the Terrapins!

Maryland opened the 2026 season 2-5, including an 0-4 start in Big Ten play. The decision comes following five consecutive losses, with the latest being a 37-30 defeat to Rutgers on Saturday.

Locksley finishes with a 39-54 overall record at Maryland, including his previous stint as interim head coach in 2015.

During his tenure, Locksley led Maryland to three consecutive bowl victories from 2021 through 2023, but the program struggled in recent years, finishing 4-8 in both 2024 and 2025.

Aazaar Abdul-Rahim is expected to take over as interim head coach.
