🔥 SPORTPLUG757 WEEK 9 VIRGINIA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TOP 20 RANKINGS! 🏈

Week 9 is here, and we have some major movement in our Top 10! As we get closer to the playoffs, every game matters, and the competition across Virginia continues to heat up!

The St. James remains our #1 team in Virginia! After proving they can compete with some of the best programs in the COUNTRY, they’ve earned that spot. Varina holds down #2, while Maury jumps to #3 as the Commodores continue to dominate their competition.

Indian River moves to #4 despite remaining undefeated. This isn’t a punishment! Maury’s overall résumé and strength of schedule gave them the edge. King’s Fork rounds out our Top 5 as they continue their undefeated run.

Highland Springs, Stone Bridge, Oscar Smith, Bethel, and Oakton complete our Top 10.

One of the biggest conversations is BETHEL! The Bruins are undefeated and have been absolutely destroying teams this season. Bethel is making a serious statement, but strength of schedule matters when comparing them to the programs ranked ahead of them.

We also want to make something clear: OUR RANKINGS ARE NOT BASED ON RECORDS ALONE!

We evaluate strength of schedule, quality wins, head-to-head matchups, competitiveness against elite opponents, and overall team performance.

Just because a team is undefeated doesn’t automatically mean they’re better than a team with one or two losses.

Virginia football is LOADED this year, and the playoffs are going to answer a lot of questions! 👀🔥

Roanoke Catholic drops from #4 to #11 after falling to Benedictine 21–6. One loss doesn’t erase an entire résumé, but results matter!

Colonial Forge moves to #12 with its only loss coming against undefeated Oakton, along with quality wins over Brooke Point and Riverbend.

Trinity Episcopal falls to #13 after losing to St. Michael, while Jefferson Forest jumps from #19 to 14 after continuing its undefeated season!

James Madison, Green Run, Thomas Dale, and Huguenot round out spots 1
