❄️ Festive Snowstorm in a Bottle ❄️ Bring the blizzard inside with this easy STEM activity! ️ Kids will love watching the "snowflakes" swirl and dance. What you'll need: Clear jar or bottle Baby oil Water White paint or glitter Alka-Seltzer tablet Instructions: Fill the jar about 2/3 full with baby oil. Mix a little white paint or glitter with water in a separate cup. Pour the paint/glitter water into the jar, leaving some space at the top. Drop an Alka-Seltzer tablet into the jar. Fizz and flurry time! Science behind the magic: The Alka-Seltzer reacts with the water, creating bubbles that rise through the oil. The oil is less dense than the water, so the bubbles carry the paint/glitter with them, making it look like a swirling snowstorm! ❄️ #learningresources #preschoolSTEM #snowstorm #snowflakes #stemforkids #winterfun #kidsactivitiesathome #scienceforkids #funforkids #sensory #sensorybins #funscience #scienceiscool #learningthroughplay #toddlers #preschool #montessoriinspired #waldorfinspired #toddlerideas #kidideas #grossmotorplay #sensoryplay
