Deforestation in Real-Time 🌳

Deforestation is happening and it's happening now. The good news is, satellite data can be used to identify when and where forest clearing is happening.

This time series captures 9 months of forest clearing in Papua, Indonesia.

Planet works with partners around the world to help map and monitor Earth's forests, prevent illegal logging and protect their critically-needed biodiversty. #internationaldayofforests
