🌸 Flower soup sensory play 🌸 Don't throw away your Valentine's Day blooms! Try out this activity created by littleaussielondoner and get a little more use out of those flowers!

"This activity is such a great water play activity for pre-schools and an excellent way to give a second life to any dried-out bouquets or herbs that you have lying around the home.

✨

For this activity, we decided to keep it super simple by cutting the flower heads off the stem and adding them to a large dish half-filled with water.

This was so much fun, and A enjoyed testing our new learningresources Helping Hands fine motor set to pick up and scoop the flowers and transfer them onto a dish. We also added a few spoons and scoops from our play kitchen.

➡️ To spice things up, you could always add a few drops of food coloring, fruit slices, glitter, ice, or frozen blooms!

There are many benefits to this form of sensory play, including working hand-eye coordination, concentration, and focus, while building hand, finger, and wrist strength (all that pouring, scooping, and squeezing takes a lot of work)."
