Try this smart activity today for Spring Break Day 2: Alphabet Soup! 🔤
Support alphabet awareness, building recognition of letter shapes and sounds with a full day dedicated to Alphabet Soup created by celenakinsey 🔤 The alphabet is an essential foundation for future learning, so let’s celebrate accordingly. Start off Alphabet Soup day by making some alphabet soup!

1️⃣Full bin with water and throw in some foam letters
2️⃣Take a muffin tin and place matching magnetic letters inside (matching as in the same letters as the foam ones)
3️⃣Provide tools like a Handy Scoopers and Twisty Droppers

3 different lessons ideas:

🔠Regular matching- have kids match foam letters to the right spot on the muffin tin. You can work on fine motor skills by using a spatula or tongs to pick up letters. This is best with my two year olds who have an idea of letters and matching skills!

🔡Work on letter sounds- Prompt a letter sound and ask kiddos to fill the muffin tin with a dropper of water to the letter that made the sound.

🔤For older kids you can throw in lowercase letters in the water and have them scoop them out and match to the uppercase ones in the tin! 🎥: celenakinsey ✨
