What a unique activity! Thanks for sharing momunpolished! ・・・
🌈☁️Rainbow Rice🌈☁️
We haven’t had a rainbow rice activity in awhile so I figured it was about time. 🌈
.
I really didn’t have a plan past using the magnetic wands for the magnetic letters. Let this be more child led. I also left a couple bowls and handy scoopers out in case the boys wanted to use them for scooping and pouring. (Forgot the funnels). I’ve found that if the boys have tools, they tend to have more fun with the activity and it lasts longer. That might seem like common sense to most but not all of us. 😆🙋🏼‍♀️ 🌈☁️🌈☁️🌈☁️🌈☁️
.
As soon as H started gathering letters he asked, where is the orange bowl, the red bowl and the purple bowel for the letters he was finding. 🤦🏼‍♀️. The boys are so used to sorting colors it just came naturally to H. 🌈
.
This is a good activity for letter recognition, it’s colorful and just overall fun. (I don’t typically do this activity outside because of the birds but our doodle has taken care of that situation). You can see in my stories that cleanup doesn’t always go as planned. I liked how the rice turned out and was hoping to save it for another activity but L took care of that. Plus, he put a good amount of rice and mud in the slip and slide. 🤣🌈☁️🌈☁️🌈☁️
